The bike is a 1985 XV1000 same as the one you have in your article. When I
got it the bike had been stolen and wrecked and sat out back of a dealership for
quite a while. A friend of mine found it and got it from the dealer and I got
it from him. It was pretty beat but has potential. I had to get new electronics,
rewire, get what instruments and repaint it. I also put a side mount carb from
kjs and some drag pipes, the bike runs and sounds great.
